Battlestar Galactica Season 4 returns.
It is, again, political, and human weakness exposed. Of course, it may be lucky for human to have wise leader in the military. However, I think BSG again and again question the functionality of “Democracy”, especially under these crucial circumstances.
But this isn’t that surprising isn’t it? Ultimately, there is no democracy. People do not know what’s best for themselves; they never do. Will of the people are often times, created by politicians because people DO listen, then choose something to believe in.
This is what I love about BSG. There is no other show that I’ve seen that address or explore such human weakness in such a fantastic way. It is perhaps way beyond what people care about the reality of politics. And that’s exactly why it is epic.
