Now my WordPress can automatically update
It turns out I just need to add .htaccess file in the root folder of my wordpress. I guess this is a known issue for wordpress hosted by 1and1. The .htaccess file should only need this line: AddType x-mapp-php5 .php That’s it. Solution comes from here.
