Dear Dr. Fang:

As a scientist, I think to defend the scientific integrity is very important. The key to do it is to do it based on the truth, but not the assumption. Science is built on fact which should be obtained from experimental investigation and observation. Do you agree? Of course. This is the reason you open the forum. So, the way you do it and to maintain the scientific integrity has to be based on truth. All the points you chosen and pasted on XYS should be backed by experimental investigation or truly solid fact, but not some lay opinions from somebody never touch this field. It will mislead other layman who may want to learn something from it.

By the way, I have been doing research oversea for many years. We have the journal club every week and all the papers we discussed are all from top journal such as Cell, Nature sibling, Science sibling. No matter how excellent the paper is, there are always some holes and problems. However, the way foreign scientists treat these big questions are totally different from what we saw here. Nobody suspect that the data are faked except that you repeat it in the exactly same way because we all know that the biologic response is not what you assume to happen.

Please do it in a professional way, based on fact and fairness.
