MacHeist is a heist

MacHeist was one of the most well-known Mac software related website a week ago. Sure, a lot of publicity for the programs involved, such as a so called useless buggy program Disco.

Although it is a great deal for customers to buy 8 programs for $49, it is really unfair for developers. Many people don’t believe so. The good reason for mostly positive responses is that, the heist is behind the sugar coat of 25% charity donation and great discount for customers.

Truth is, because developers were paid for a flat rate fee, the more bundle MacHeist sell, the more money goes to MacHeist people, in a disproportional way. And some people have done some good math about this.

I resisted not to buy from MacHeist, because I feel it is unfair for those developers. Think about it, how disgusting it is to say “week for indie Mac developers” while you people earned the largest chunk of revenue? What a shameless lie, for money.
