Freedom to Marry vs. Keep Marriage Sacred

I walked through Drillfield today to go to the classroom. I saw some guys holding some banner to show passers-by. One said some thing I think about men’s descending from Bible. And the other one is just “Keep Marriage Sacred”. Because there are a group of people farther away, I thought it might have something to do with those people. When I started to walk to the crowd, I suddenly realized today is Valentine’s Day and they must be from LGBTA to call for “Freedom to Marry”.

Oh yes, they were. I think someone was talking about christian religion. Three couples were standing together. Because my eye sight is gettting worse, I guess they were two couples of men and a couple of women. OK, yes, this is the Freedom to Marry ceremony of homosexual marriage.

Just one thing. Why anti-gay people in USA now are doing it again: try to forbid homosexual marriage by writting it into constitution or something? Because I think USA is a society of freedom, and respect personal choices, I do not understand what they are doing. “Freedom of speech”?. On the other hand, same sex marriage does not really harm those people. So what do they want? I guess maybe just to “keep their marriage sacred”. Well, if they can only keep their own marriage sacred by forbiding other people to marry, well, I feel it is their problem, and their marriage’s problem.

And that’s why Bush government is called the worst government in USA history.

UPDATE:
An American said:

Before 1967, it was illegal for people of different races to marry in this country, and there were people back then carrying the same signs.
